Jimmy Smits Tells People to Get Screened
Tired of nagging a friend or family member about colorectal cancer screening? Well, award-winning actor Jimmy Smits might be able to help.
Mr Smits is starring in a series of public service announcements (PSAs) encouraging people to get tested for the deadly disease. The persuasive clips were co-produced by the Entertainment Industry Foundation’s (EIF) National Colorectal Cancer Research Alliance (NCCRA) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
These television and radio spots are also available in Spanish and are free of the usual copyright restrictions. That way you can play them again and again until your reluctant loved one gets the message.
